CORPORATE OPERATIONS ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR
SUMMARY:
The Corporate Operations Assistant Director will play a pivotal role in supporting project management for strategic initiatives across Ionis Pharmaceuticals. The initial focus will be on the SAP S/4HANA ERP system build and implementation. The ideal candidate combines a strong project management skill set with strategic thinking. This position is ideal for a dynamic professional with strong project management capabilities and a passion for strategic innovation. RESPONSIBILITIES:
SAP ERP Project Support:
Support the project management and deployment of SAP S/4HANA modules specific to the pharmaceutical industry. Develop and maintain detailed project documentation, including requirements, workflows, and process designs. Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and consultants to ensure deliverables meet project goals and timelines.Business Strategy and Transformation Projects:
Collaborate with leadership to support ad hoc strategic initiatives and transformation efforts. Analyze current business processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements to align with organizational goals. Lead smaller-scale strategic projects or contribute to larger cross-functional initiatives. Support change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of new processes and systems.Project Management and Operational Excellence:
Manage project timelines, deliverables, budgets, and cross-functional team coordination. Monitor and manage tasks related to data integration and migration, ensuring smooth transitions.Strategic Contribution:
Contribute to the development of long-term strategies to support business transformation goals. Participate in workshops and brainstorming sessions to align tactical activities with broader organizational objectives. Provide insights and analysis to inform decision-making by senior leadership.REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, or a related field with 12 years of relevant experience. Master’s degree in business administration or relevant field preferred with at least 7 years of relevant experience. At least 3 years of experience in corporate operations, strategic projects, or project management. Experience in the pharmaceutical industry or other regulated environments. Experience in project management for Enterprise Resource Planning implementation projects is preferred Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize data and provide actionable recommendations. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage cross-functional projects effectively. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with teams and stakeholders. Strong organizational skills to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with business transformation frameworks and change management practices. Experience in leading smaller-scale strategy initiatives or operational improvement projects. Potential travel up to 20% to support project milestones and collaboration efforts.
