Job Purpose
The job holder will be responsible for managing and executing Liability (MidCorp) Underwriting activities in an efficient and effective manner including: risk submission; completeness of data; analysis and assessment of the risk; coverage structure and design; rating and pricing; negotiation and binding. The role reports to CUO for underwriting matters and will cooperate closely with commercial department and pricing department.

 

What you will do

Study thoroughly insurance proposals, provide integrated support in the proposals process and advise the sales network with underwriting guidance and information. Provide integrated support in the proposals processing operation and support the selling process Gather and assess background information in order to effectively assess the risk involved, and liaise with specialists, such as surveyors for risk assessment (if needed), pricing specialists Calculate possible risk and calculate insurance premiums; analyse results for appropriate premiums using actuarial information Specify conditions to be imposed on different types of policies and assist in clarifying or resolving underwriting related problem Prepare and issue insurance contracts, endorsements and renewals of contracts Keep detailed and accurate records of policies underwritten and decisions made Provide customer service to customers

 

What you bring

Degree in insurance, statistics or legal Master’s degree/ relevant professional qualifications are a plus 5 years of experience in similar position Proficiency in MS-Office (especially excel) Excellent command of Greek and English Analytical skills and attention to detail Collaboration and customer service skills Organizational skills and ability to work within deadlines
