We’re looking for talented, committed individuals to join our team as we push onwards toward certifying the Joby aircraft with the Federal Aviation Administration, scaling our manufacturing, and preparing to launch commercial service in 2025. Overview

We are seeking a talented and experienced Corporate Paralegal to help provide legal services on a variety of corporate and securities matters.  Successful candidates will be able to juggle competing priorities and be extremely responsive in a fast-paced environment. A proactive individual with strong organizational skills and a keen sense of judgment will excel in this role. This role requires 1-2 days onsite per week from one of our California locations: San Carlos, Santa Cruz, or Marina

Responsibilities Administering and maintaining Joby’s contract lifecycle management system (Ironclad) and DocuSign accountsIntake, review, negotiation and execution of the company’s NDAs (with attorney support, as appropriate)Drafting minutes, consents, officer certificates, and related basic corporate documents  Managing entity formation and maintenance, including state and local filings and business licensesWorking closely with other members of the team to fulfill compliance and corporate governance requirements Support broader corporate legal team on other matters, which may include compensation, ESG, stock matters, M&A, capital markets, and other projects.Assisting with preparation of SEC filings Identifying opportunities to streamline processes within the department Managing legal accruals and billing  General administrative tasks for the department Maintaining and administering the Legal Team’s files Required 5+ years of experience in a similar role Paralegal certificate or Bachelor’s Degree Experience supporting public companies High ethical standards and the ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality Proficient in Microsoft suite and Sharepoint Familiarity with basic contract terms applicable to NDAsSelf-starter, proactive, detail and deadline oriented A positive, ‘can-do’ outlook, a sense of excitement to learn and contribute to the team’s goals, and a willingness to roll up their sleeves and get the job done Desired Experience with IronClad workflows and administrationExperience reviewing and negotiating NDAs

 

Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $85,300 - $113,800/year. The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
