EquipmentShare is searching for a Corporate Paralegal for our corporate office in Columbia, MO, to help us support our Legal team.
Salary range: $50k-$75k. Factors including past experience and location may affect final compensation rate.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Corporate Paralegal to support our in-house legal team. This role will assist attorneys with corporate matters, including preparing and filing company documents, maintaining corporate records, conducting legal research, drafting contracts, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Experience in corporate law, contract administration, and regulatory compliance within a corporate or law firm setting is preferred.

Primary Responsibilities: Maintain contract records, organize legal files, and ensure proper document retention. Manage and track legal matters in the Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system. Maintain and update the company’s registrations and organizational chart. Apply for and renew business licenses, permits, and regulatory filings to ensure compliance. Order good standings and UCC searches, along with filing UCC amendments and terminations. Respond accurately to census requests. Coordinate execution of contracts and legal documents, ensuring compliance with internal policies. Assist with due diligence by tracking, gathering, and organizing corporate documents. Coordinate and track closing documents, signatures, and post-transaction filings. Notarize legal documents and coordinate document execution. Conduct basic legal research and assist with special projects as needed.
Required Skills/Abilities: Extensive computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Adobe, DocuSign and experience using multiple software and technology platforms to manage matters, contracts, invoices, documents, etc. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in legal research tools and contract management systems. Strong organizational and time management skills. Outstanding written and oral communication skills. High attention to detail, discretion, and professionalism.
