Corporate Pharmacy Intern

Program Dates: May 19, 2025 – July 25, 2025 (10 weeks) **What You’ll Do:** Join our Provider Engagement Pharmacy Initiatives team, which collaborates with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes. Through strategic meetings and actionable insights, we advance quality measures and cost-saving initiatives, enabling pharmacists to practice at the top of their profession. As a Pharmacy Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience by: + Managing a document pipeline for new drug approvals. + Reviewing specialty clinical programs and pharmacy claims reports. + Supporting community pharmacy partnerships to deliver actionable results. + Assisting with pharmacy operations and prior authorization criteria review. + Making meaningful contributions that drive better health outcomes. **What You Bring:** + Currently enrolled in your second or third year of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) -approved Doctor of Pharmacy program as of May 2025. + Ability to commit to a hybrid, 40-hour workweek, with occasional onsite visits to our Durham campus. + A passion for learning, curiosity, and openness to feedback to grow professionally. + A collaborative spirit, positive energy, and the ability to bring fresh ideas and perspectives to the table. + Motivation to support our mission of improving the health and well-being of our communities. At the end of the program, we celebrate your contributions and accomplishments, showcasing the real impact you’ve made.  **Compensation:** Undergraduates: Rising Sophomore: $18.00/hr  Undergraduates: Rising Junior/Senior:  $21.00/hr  Returning Interns: $23.00/hr  Master’s Students/JD: $27.00/hr   MBA Students/PharmD: $36.00/hr   **Salary Range** At Blue Cross NC, we take great pride in a fair and equitable compensation package that reflects market-price and our starting salaries are typically planned near the middle of the range listed. Compensation decisions are driven by factors including experience and training, specialized skill sets, licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs.
