Corporate Process Engineer

As a member of the Corporate Process Team, the Corporate Process Engineer provides support to the Plant Process Engineers, Operations and the rest of the Corporate Process Team.
**Description:**
+ Manage and lead technical role in the area of Process Engineering.
+ Mentor, coach and guide Plant Process Engineers; assist and take a lead role for operational challenges at the plants by identifying bottlenecks, increasing productivity and reducing fuel consumption.
+ Conduct and work with Operations with respect to lime production, kiln process (preheater, kiln and cooler), refractory usage, burner development, environmental compliance and alternative fuel usage to increase efficiencies, reduce energy costs and minimize downtime.
+ Visit plants and collect process data by performing heat and mass balances and report opportunities to plant management.
+ Benchmark kilns in order to identify improvement opportunities to minimize cost and maximize operational efficiencies in order to make recommendations for the short and long term industrial plan.
+ Provide leadership, guidance and direction to ensure plant operations are aligned with company goals and values.
+ Assist with stack testing activities.
+ Assist with new product and alternative fuel trials and support plants with post-implementation reporting.
+ Lead commissioning, start-up and performance testing of newly installed and/or modified equipment along with plant personnel.
+ Train operational personnel on process and operations.
+ Perform other duties assigned by his direct supervisor.
**Requirements:**
+ Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
+ 5+ years process engineering management experience within an industrial environment including proven financial management skills.
+ Knowledge and experience in lime or cement will be a plus.
+ Ability to communicate clearly both internally and externally.
+ Demonstrates team work and maturity with a strong work ethic.
+ Fluency in spoken and written English.
+ Ability to travel up to 50% of the time outside the base office to multiple locations in the US and Canada including possible travel overseas.
