The Corporate Purchasing Agent leads the measurement of efficiency within the procurement team, focused on increasing visibility and enhancing the value of procurement with the organization. Develops and implements performance management strategies to optimize business efficiency for all supply chain categories including providing analytics, research and insights to support the identification, qualification and recommendation of sources of supply that ensure the lowest total cost of ownership. Facilitates strategic cost management & strategic sourcing support requiring extensive cross-functional interface within the business units and corporate offices with data driven, continuous improvement goals in mind. Responsibilities • Coordinate and implement supply chain optimization projects to support continuous process improvement objectives working closely with operations teams & other stakeholders to troubleshoot, modify and maximize performance of vendors and programs • Support Supply Chain Manager in category development and product selection. • Manages Source to Pay administration, including item master inputs, managed order guides, price updates, punch out development, supplier self-registration review, etc. • Responsible for the maintenance of Supplier performance scorecards/data/reports, action items, and challenge resolution. Communicate and incorporates participation from key stakeholders and departmental leadership as required • Research, analyze and evaluate existing and prospective suppliers based on a Total Cost of Ownership basis, including price/cost, service standards, quality standards, capability, reliability, and strategic match • Serves as a point of escalation, troubleshooting, and partners with the business units, stakeholders and leadership in the day-to-day resolution and management of supply chain needs. • Collaborates with functional and operational leadership to identify appropriate specifications, determine prioritized objectives and strategies, risk assessments, and cost/budget objectives. Qualifications • 3 years of purchasing/buying experience • College degree or equivalent work experience • Advanced Knowledge of MS Excel and other MS business products • Strong analytic proficiency • Ability and willingness to learn & flex among a broad range of categories as required by the various businesses to support analytics, reporting and KPI management across all businesses • Well established communication skills • Demonstrated ability to be proactive in anticipating and mitigating risk factors and operational requirements • Demonstrated ability in building relationships and strategic alliances • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively multitask in a fast-paced environment • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across multifunctional teams in multiple geographies • Familiar with typical procurement system processes COMPENSATION: The salary range for this position is $56,500.00 - $63,000.00.
