Summary of This RoleWorks in partnership with leaders and line managers in relation to sourcing, employee relations, compensation and benefits, HR systems and data management across multiple countries. Ensures that team member queries or concerns are dealt with efficiently and consistently. Works closely with HR colleagues across the business to monitor, review and update HR policies in line with current legislation and best practice, Effectively maintains accurate employee information manually or in a Human Resources Information System. Helps to drive organization performance by providing expertise and/or data analysis. Participates in the delivery of local, segment-wide and company-wide HR practices and strategies.
What Part Will You Play?Sources candidates by utilizing job boards, professional associations, and social networking sites. May cold call and focus on passive candidates to build a database of potential candidates for hard-to-fill positions. Screens candidate application materials. Conducts preliminary interviews to identify applicants who meet the requisite skills and qualifications. Creates written job offers, communicates with candidates about conditional vs. final offers. Delegates administrative tasks to junior colleagues including logging applications, scheduling interviews, and pre-employment screenings. Updates and maintains new hire documents to ensure most recent information and forms are available to junior colleagues.Administers payroll process by partnering with payroll vendor to issue pay to employees by exporting data using the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) reporting function, cross checking with physical payroll information, and sending data to the vendor. Communicates with the vendor on queries, reviews payroll reports for completeness and accuracy, and approves the final payroll. Performs data quality reviews in support of internal control requirements.Applies a thorough knowledge of established company policies, procedures and best practices; and assists in training junior colleagues. Supports team members, retirees, beneficiaries, and/or applicants in escalated inquiries regarding recruitment, employment, benefits, payroll, record keeping, and reporting. Researches local and national regulatory guidelines and laws to keep up-to date on developments such as legislative changes/updates associated with policy related activities to help ensure that the organization stays compliant. Researches, reviews, and develops policies and procedures.Advises, educates, and may train junior colleagues on complex employee relations policies and procedures. Researches industry best practices and recommends updates to policies and procedures. Meets with team members/managers to document employee relations activities including absence discipline, performance, reorganizations, absence management, and flexible working options.Establishes local/segment HR audit systems and controls to ensure accuracy and compliance. Oversees data look up and data entry in various HR administration systems to aid in resolving inquiries. Enters deductions (i.e. benefit contributions and premiums, garnishments) and leave active (i.e. vacation, sick) into the HRIS system; performs periodic audits for accuracy to ensure a smooth process with payroll. Leads research and ad hoc projects as requested by management.Supports junior colleagues by assisting team members and external vendors/third party administrators with complex questions, inquiries and preparations relating to benefits information and reviews benefits packages with third party consultant. Oversees the accuracy of benefits information for publication (i.e. communications, presentations, and packets). Verifies data for retirement/beneficiary/benefits enrollment. May assist in the evaluation of internal processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
