The Role

This role supports the delivery of Risk & Analytics (R&A) services across WTW’s Japan network, ensuring operational efficiency and client satisfaction. This individual will work closely with WTW’s Global and Regional R&A resources, including teams in Core Analytics, Risk Engineering, Strategic Risk Consulting, Forensic Accounting & Complex Claims, and Alternative Risk Transfer. They will coordinate closely with Corporate Risk and Broking resources to enhance WTW’s value proposition for clients in Japan.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Value Proposition: Promote analytics tools and strengthen WTW’s broker value proposition with current and prospective clients. Client Technology & Model Support: Facilitate the adoption of client-facing technology and core models. Training Coordination: Organize and conduct training programs for the Japan team, enhancing technical expertise. Revenue Generation: Support the sales of fee-based services through effective client engagement. Marketing Support: Assist in planning and executing marketing events and client engagements. Specialist Support: Provide expert R&A consulting services, collaborating as needed with internal teams to meet client needs.

 

Key Responsibilities by Area:

Sales and Client Engagement:

Define and communicate the R&A value proposition tailored to industry and client needs. Support sales activities, including client events, sales campaigns, and joint account planning. Track and report on financial goals in collaboration with the Finance team. Participate in prospect planning and strategy discussions for Japan CRB.

 

Technical Delivery:

Deliver bespoke risk solutions to clients, addressing a range of needs in areas such as: Enterprise Risk Management Crisis Management Business Continuity Insurance Program Assessment Support business development efforts through technical knowledge and networking. Coordinate with account teams and client representatives to arrange risk services and engagements. Ensure timely, high-quality delivery of risk consulting reports and client deliverables. Maintain compliance with regulatory procedures and uphold WTW standards.

 

Service/Financial Tasks:

Support WTW’s R&A service levels, maintaining agreed standards and client satisfaction. Monitor and report on deliverable performance, identifying trends and variances. Collaborate with account teams to prepare work plans and forecasts for the Japan R&A team.

The Requirements

Essential

Experience in Risk & Analytics or a Related Field: At least 5 years of relevant experience, ideally in risk consulting, analytics, insurance, or finance. Technical Knowledge in Risk Management: Solid understanding of core risk management practices, such as Enterprise Risk Management, Crisis Management, or Business Continuity. Project Management Skills: Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables within deadlines and budget constraints. Client Engagement and Communication Skills: Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal teams, explaining technical concepts clearly. Bilingual Proficiency (English and Japanese): High proficiency in both languages, enabling professional-level communication and report writing.

Desirable

Proven experience in supporting growth initiatives and achieving KPIs. Strong networking skills and industry relationships. Background in Risk Engineering or relevant technical field. Working knowledge of fire protection and detection systems.
