Purpose of role.

The main focus of this role is to lead the delivery and support of our ESG Spirit of Progress Action Plan for our “In market company (IMC) business” by accelerating our promote positive drinking agenda to support our mission to change the way people drink for the better through a cross functional collaboration and engaging with key business partners, as well scaling our inclusion and diversity agenda through Learning for Life and social mobility programs, while protecting and enhancing Diageo's reputation and licence to operate, in service of becoming the most trusted and respected consumer goods company.

Top Accountabilities.

Functional

The role will handle relationships and reputation with delivering partners, NGOs, academia, business partners, government, identifying and campaigning on our ESG -SOP action plan.The role will run ESG agencies, consultancies, and other external vendors for our SOP agenda.The role will handle partnerships with ESG Trade Associations and ensure that the TA strategy is aligned and complementary to Diageo’s.The role will support Diageo’s IMC initiatives for 2030 Society ambition, rolling out the global framework and targets.The role will work with finance, local and regional partners to guarantee assurance processes are met.The role will work closely with other functions delivering against our ESG ambition for Diageo Mexico.The role will work with the Comms team on internal and external communications to show the progress made on our SOP action plan.

Qualifications and Experience Required

2+ years of relevant ESG / Comms, corporate relations, social development internal department of an FMCG company, government body, or NGO.A track record of crafting, developing, and completing ESG related projects.Experience in leading agencies, consultants, and other external partners.Understanding of Mexico CSR/ESG landscape in Mexico.Experience working across multiple geographies/cultures.Deep personal accountability for great performanceOutstanding ability to build and maintain genuine relationships based on mutual trust & respect.Being able to excel when dealing with ambiguity, complexity and working within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and matrixed environment.Experience in budget planning and management.Languages: Native-level Spanish and full proficiency in English (both spoken and written) are required.Writing and presentation skills in Spanish and English. Ability to deliver high-impact written materials. Excellent verbal communication skills.
