Chemours is seeking a Corporate Strategy Leader to join our growing Corporate Strategy team. This position will be available at the Corporate Offices in Wilmington, Delaware and report directly to the VP, Head of Strategy and Investor Relations.
The Corporate Strategy Leader is primarily responsible for leading strategy development for our Advanced Performance Materials (APM) segment. Additionally, this individual will provide oversight and facilitation of our annual strategic planning process, BU strategy development in with the overall company strategy and participate in strategic for selected projects execution. The Corporate Strategy function also assists other functions with key strategic decisions/ choices. The role collaborates with key leaders across the business to deliver best in class corporate and strategic planning to support Chemours’ short- and long-term objectives. Partnering with leaders across the organization, this person looks to maximize the company's core competencies and helps create strategies that align with those competencies and maximize the company’s overall value.
This position requires a professional who has a track record in working effectively in a team setting, has demonstrated successful collaboration across a matrixed organization, and possesses a unique blend of process and strategic capability with business acumen. We are looking for a candidate who combines intelligence, experience, confidence, project execution and a strong work ethic to build on the group’s solid foundation.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Leading a cross-functional team and successfully supporting individual growth and the development and maturation of the function;
Managing a complex and tight set of processes to develop a business unit plan within the scope of the corporate strategy, the analysis of the resources needed to deliver on those plans and the budgets aligned to those investment horizons;
Driving/evolving the strategy function spanning process support and analysis to analytics and strategic insights (getting to - what the data tells us, what it means and recommending what to do);
Creating tools and planning/prioritization processes that help us make better decisions;
Resource analyses related to our portfolio and ability to execute based on having the right people/skills to deliver on project milestones.
Managing and leading special strategy project based on needs across the business and corporate level, supported by internal and external resources.

Providing insights on business and regulatory trends, and how they may impact the business and strategic initiatives.
Serving as a key member of the APM leadership team with dotted-line oversight from the business president.
The following is required for this role:
Bachelor’s degree in economics/business or an engineering/scientific discipline
Minimum of 5+ years' total experience with exposure in corporate development, business development, corporate strategic planning
Minimum of 3 years of experience in management consulting at a major firm or corporate setting
Highly skilled in developing compelling and concise business cases using Excel modeling and analysis, PowerPoint design and creation, and written communications
Able to build and cultivate a team of strategic thought partners to interface with and support key leaders and functions across the organization.
Ability to align senior leaders and key stakeholders through excellent interpersonal skills, high EQ, and persuasion. Able to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
Track record of effectively planning and tightly managing the scope and life cycle of a project while balancing multiple stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to complete quantitative and qualitative analysis and financial models.
The following is preferred for this role:
Master's Degree in Business Administration with a relevant concentration
Chemical or industrial manufacturing experience
