Corporate Systems Engineer

As a Corporate Sales Engineer you will be responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, teaming with the Sales Manager as the key technical advisor and advocate for Lancope solutions and services. Lancope Sales Engineers must be able to answer technical questions from Sales Managers, Sales Partners, and Clients regarding Lancope’s technology, business value and capabilities. You must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle with our Client's technical staff.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Serve as the technology expert on the Sales Team. Demonstrate technical presentations specific to the customer’s industry, on-site and via WebEx sessions. Answer functional and complex technical questions from existing and potential customers. Deliver and manage onsite and remote Proof of Concept (PoC) engagements. Attend and demonstrate Lancope solutions at field events, such as conferences and trade shows. Serve as a technical resource for internal departments.

 

Requirements:

Self-motivated with a proven track record in technical software/hardware sales or support.

Strong presentation skills, ability to communicate clearly and professionally verbally and in writing. Organized with excellent time management skills; ability to prioritize competing demands. Comfortable working for a dynamic technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base.

Solid understanding of IP routing and other networking fundamentals.

Ability to speak knowledgeably about the Security Industry and relevant technologies.

Familiarity with Linux command line preferred.

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or equivalent in experience.

Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
