SWBC is seeking a talented individual to manage their own work schedule with some supervisory responsibilities. This individual provides high-level support to the VP Taxation on research, tax planning, and special projects. This individual develops working relationships both within and outside of the department and assists in the creation of policy and procedures for the growth of the Tax Department. This role works in a deadline driven atmosphere requiring a high-level of accuracy and productivity.

Essential duties include the following:
Prepares and reviews federal and state income tax returns for statutory compliance with consolidated, combined, and separate reporting principles; for corporate, exempt, and pass-through entities.Analyzes and prepares quarterly and annual federal and state provision for consolidated group of diversified entities.Responsible for critical analysis of business transactions and recommendations for tax treatment.Responsible for critical analysis of general ledger entries and intercompany transaction for proper tax presentation.Assists in the development and mentoring of staff.Assists in the monitoring of staff workload and ensuring deadlines are met.Assists in the development of staff regarding federal and state tax laws and regulations.Assists in the development of staff research and documentation skills.Performs other duties as required.Serious candidates will possess the minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from an accredited college or four-year university required.Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in federal, state, and local tax compliance and accounting required. Experience with consolidated returns is preferred.Proficient Microsoft Office skills, including Word and Excel.Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong technical and supervisory skills.Able and willingness to lead from “in front” and get work done through others.Able to use basic office equipment, including copy machine, personal computer, and fax.Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.Able to sit for long periods of time performing sedentary activities.Able to stand, stoop, and kneel to file for long periods of time.Able to push, pull, and lift up to 20 lbs. of files, supplies, documents, or other related items.SWBC offers*:
