Working in collaboration with the Training team, this role will facilitate classes virtually and in person, develop training content that aligns with organizational goals, and handle administrative tasks. The role will partner with various business lines, with a focus on retail. This position plays an important role in the development and learning journey of the employees at Eastern Bank.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Training
Facilitates training sessions for up to 25 people with a focus on retail employees – potential to support other business lines Is an expert in FIS applications and has a strong knowledge of federal regulations applicable to retail roles Conducts New Hire Orientation, as needed Creates an environment that is conducive to learning and drives discussion Troubleshoots basic technology challenges Displays time management awareness and is flexible with content Use of Microsoft Teams and Zoom to facilitate virtuallyDevelopment
Ensures that training material is kept updated with any policy and procedure changes Stays current on changes to federal regulations and ensures training material reflects those changes Develops training material – Participant Guides, Guide Cards, etc. Engages in ongoing evaluations of training material and makes updates to ensure learning needs are being met/exceeded. Identifies areas for support, and creates a proposal with solutionAdministrative
Updates Rosters (adding, removing, and completion of participants) Communicates with leadership when their direct reports do not arrive at training Collaborates with technology partners with any technology challenges Orders training supplies and ensure participants have what is needed for success in the classroomThis role requires that the Corporate Trainer I be confident in decision-making done in the classroom and providing feedback to managers regarding student progress/behavior. Strong analytical skills interpreting regulatory changes and/or corporate policy as it relates to developing materials that accurately reflect changes in a user-friendly manner.
REQUIREMENTS:
Possess intermediate level proficiency for the key MS Office applications. Must be proficient and considered an expert with FIS applications. Must have a strong understand of adult learning styles/theory and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Possess the ability to work independently, and collaboratively with a team.
Education and Experience:
Must have a minimum of 4 years banking experience Teller and Platform experience required Banking experience requiredSkills/Knowledge
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written are required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and ZoomWorking Conditions:
This position will be primarily supporting our Boston and Lynnfells Training Labs and will also be facilitating virtually. Monthly in-person team meetings will be held at one of our training labs (Taunton, Boston, Bedford, Lynnfells Saugus, or One Eastern Place). 1 day per week is required onsite in Lynn, MA (this location will be changing to Wakefield in late 2025). Occasional evening and Saturday hours, as business need requires.
