Summary – Manages the activities related to various training and development programs for Blount Fine Foods.  Responsible for decisions in the design, implementation and auditing of Blount training and development programs for single and multi-unit execution.  Ensuring ongoing, long term employee growth, in order to meet corporate requirements, and maximize employee potential.  Essential Duties: Partners with HR and business leaders to identify and assess learning and development needs in order to design and implement training solutions, both in house and externally to meet specific training requirements. Ensures company training objectives are met by monitoring, tracking, and reporting effectiveness of programs to provide recommendations for improvements. Develops, manages, and drives a training and development strategy to strengthen the people and the organizational capabilities and performance.  Builds strategic partnerships with business leaders to understand current and future talent needs of the company, and ensures training aligns with overall company and department’s goals and objectives.Evaluates and identifies individual or group training needs, and creates plans, procedures, and programs to meet training needs. Supports the business with individual development plans as needed. Keeps informed of new training methods.Works closely with Vice President of HR as well as leadership at each Blount location to structure, pilot and manage programs.Works directly with staff at all levels and all locations; developing and mentoring employees with a continuous improvement mentality. Collect, analyze, and maintain data gathered to inform targeted leadership development (e.g., succession planning).Research and assist in the development of Performance Management training programs that focus on enabling the workforce to achieve improvements with priority organizational concerns.Develop, initiate, and maintain effective programs for workforce retention, promotion, and succession planning.Manage the maintenance and execution of the performance management system, including standards of performance and performance evaluation instruments.Conduct presentations and training.Ensure that organization-wide talent management and performance management initiatives are focused and aligned on improving operational and program efficiencies and effectiveness.Work closely with the HRIS manager to collect and coordinate aggregate data for talent pool and translate those data into insights through data analysis that drives deliberate action plans at the appropriate levels.Coach and advise management on talent management needs, leadership, and facilitate plans to address the changing focus of the workforce.Develops a variety of training aids and materials.Prepares and approves budgets and travel plans. Position accountabilities:Is a teacher, a mentor, and a positive influence in the development of Blount staff. Researches, recommends, and assists in the coordination and evaluation of development opportunities in workshops, seminars, events, and on-line courses for the staff.Through program development and execution, considers platform application across all locationsContinuously mentoring, educating, and developing staff, to assure greatest potential. Ongoing personal development; assuring most effective utilization of position and resources.Adheres to established departmental budget. , Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (B.
