Provide effective customer service for internal and external customers by using excellent, in-depth knowledge of company services. Communicate call concerns promptly with team members within the department.
Primary Responsibilities
+ Answer inbound calls and provide requested information such as domestic and international rate estimates, scheduling pickups, service times, shipment tracking, claim statuses, account balances and invoice inquiries
+ Provide rates for LTL, 4848, 698, 699, read and understand customer’s contracts and schedules
+ Handle bill corrections, re-consignments, blind shipment, and coordination of inspections
+ Email documents (Bill of Ladings, Proof of Delivery, Claim forms, Freight Bills, etc.)
+ Provide freight classes (NMFC) to customers
+ Submit credit applications for customers
+ Know and understand all AS400 functions
+ Know and understand all freight terminology
+ Take credit card and ACH payments from customers
+ Make account updates in the computer system such as phone number and contact updates, etc.
+ Document Overage, Shortages and Damages (OS&D) when reported by customers and assist them in the claims process coordinating inspection if needed
+ Respond to inquiries from the website including navigation of the site, re-activation of accounts, creating new usernames, adding accounts to existing usernames and restoring usernames
+ Implement standards of service to ensure the customer has an outstanding ODFL experience
+ Provide timely feedback to the manager regarding service failures or customer concerns
+ Maintain positive customer relationships by responding to all inquiries in a timely manner
+ Be the voice of OD and provide service that goes above and beyond what is expected
+ Provide Service 2.OD to internal and external customers and BE THE DIFFERENCE
Job Qualifications
Education:
+ High school diploma or equivalent
Experience:
+ Customer service experience preferably in the transportation industry
+ Proficient with Windows, Outlook and Microsoft Word
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
+ Ability to provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers
+ Great interpersonal skills with a positive attitude
+ Ability to extend a positive attitude and calming presence to customers
+ Detail oriented
+ Ability to work in a fast paced, high volume call center environment
+ Able to multi-task
