Responsibilities
+ Inspect piping, tanks and pressure vessels using the following NDE Methods: Visual Testing, Magnetic Particle, Liquid Penetrant Testing, RTR, MFE (Mark IV) and Ultrasonic Thickness.
+ Follow Eastman inspection procedures and industry guidelines to inspect & evaluate piping, tanks, and pressure vessels.
+ Perform Positive Material Identification (PMI) on piping and plate using analyzer to identify material grade.
+ Review of MTR’s, comparing elements to ASME guidelines to assure material meets requirements for specific material grades referenced on MTR.
+ Walking down and field verification of Process Flow Diagrams.
+ Drawing isometric sketches.
+ Perform Crew Safety Representative (CSR) roles as assigned.
+ Perform calibration duties for inspection equipment as assigned.
+ Perform house keeping duties as assigned.
+ Perform On-Call duties as assigned.
+ Drive company vehicles within the Eastman site and off-site when required.
+ Obtain a company credit card for travel & training expenses.
+ Support turnaround work.

Required Skills:
+ Utilize job-related computer systems such as:
+ GE APM, PowerBI, SAP, Microsoft Office, ProjectWise, AssetView
+ Interpret, review, and apply engineering standards, codes, specifications and drawings.
+ Use and interpret piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID’s) and vessel/piping drawings.
+ Communicate in a proficient manner, both physically and digitally.
+ Prioritize and manage simultaneous tasks.
+ Able to climb ladder and stairs to access platforms or scaffolding.
+ Capable of accessing 18” access points for confined spaces.
+ Able to work at heights of 200 feet or more.
+ Able to wear and work using respirators: dust mask, filtered half mask, filtered full face, full face with supplied air.
+ Willing to make field visits, enter confined spaces, and wear fall protection when required.
+ Willing to work outside of normal work schedules to accomplish a task if needed.
+ Willing to travel to other sites or cities for company business (vendor sites, training classes, etc.)
+ Adhere to company procedures and policies.
+ Obtain ASNT Level II Non-Destructive Testing qualifications within 12 months of employment in the following methods: Magnetic Particle, Liquid Penetrant Testing, and Ultrasonic Thickness.
+ Obtain one certification through the American Petroleum Society (API) within the first 24 months of employment in one of the following certifications: API 510, API 570, API 653, and API 580.
Desirable Skills (Experience):
+ Experience with fabrication and/or repair of piping, vessels, tanks, or other welded fabrications.
+ Familiar with ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Codes and API Standards.
+ Familiar with NBIC and Texas Boiler Law.
+ Experience with welding and weld procedures.
+ Qualified ASNT Level II in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) in the following methods: Magnetic Particle, Liquid Penetrant Testing, Ultrasonic Testing – Thickness and Radiographic Testing.
+ 40 hour MFE Mark IV training
+ Certified through the American Petroleum Society (API) with the following certifications: API 510, API 570, API 653, and API 580.
+ Certifications through AMPP (NACE) in the following methods: CP1/2 (Cathodic Protection) and CPI Level 1 / 2 (Coatings).
+ Possess a general understanding of the function and operation of various types of plant equipment (process tanks, columns, exchangers, etc.)
+ Experience with materials and identification of common damage mechanisms.
