The Department of Corrections (DOC), State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Fayette is seeking a self-motivated Correctional Industries Manager 2 to oversee a variety of programs, including an optical lab, braille lab, garment shop, metal products factory, and license plate factory at three different state correctional institutions. You will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the overall operations of the correctional industries at SCI Cambridge Springs, SCI Fayette, and SCI Greene. You will have the important task of setting priorities, goals, and objectives, and communicating them to your team. Your work will involve determining staffing needs and priorities based on the established goals and objectives. You will also be responsible for managing the annual budget and developing and implementing work processes and procedures. Additionally, you will be in charge of organizing and conducting training programs for staff and inmate workers to ensure they are properly oriented and trained for their roles. Work Schedule and Additional Information: + Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week + Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. + Travel is required + This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55. + Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
