Amergis Healthcare Staffing is partnered witha respected correctional facility in Billerica, MA, currently seeking LPNs forfull-time positions.

Position Details:

·        Location: Billerica,MA

·        Duration: 6months to start, with the likelihood of an extension

·        FacilityType: Correctional Facility

·        Shifts: 40hours/week, Tues-Sat 3p-11p & 11p-7a available

·        Pay: $47/hrlocal, $2,050 gross/week travel

Position Description:

·        General nursingduties, including medication administration, triage, and risk assessment

·        Assisting physicianswith medical treatments

·        Administeringprescribed medication

·        Applying surgicaldressings and bandages

·        Providing emergencyfirst aid

·        Checking and recordingvital signs

·        Obtaining specimensfrom inmate patients for diagnostic testing

·        Reporting reactions totreatments and medications, as well as changes in inmates’ emotional orphysical condition

·        Providing inmatepatient education and/or discharge planning

·        Recording all careinformation concisely, accurately, and completely in a timely manner

·        Promoting atherapeutic environment to ensure inmates are treated professionally,ethically, and tactfully

·        Performing otherposition-related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

·        Current Massachusetts NurseLicense or proof of applying

·        Minimum of one year ofcorrectional health care or psych experience required

·        Current CPRcertification if applicable

·        Current Healthcertificate (per contract or state regulation)
