Corrections Pharmacy Technician
$32/ hour Position: Corrections Pharmacy Technician Location: Chicago, IL Pay Rate : $32/hour Schedule: + Full time + 9am-5pm and 3pm-11pm float Weekend Requirements: Rotating weekends Duration: 3 months (Likely Extension) Requirements: + High school diploma or GED equivalent + Licensure as a pharmacy technician in State of Illinois + One (1) year of recent full-time work experience in a hospital as an inpatient pharmacy technician + Must have extensive experience with automations and troubleshooting (dispensing cabinets and pouch packers ) + Must be comfortable with being active and lift heavy objects throughout different building's in all weather conditions. + Must hold active certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT) Additional Details: + Must be comfortable traveling to buildings within corrections campus + Must have inpatient experience within 1 year + Must start on 3/17/2025 + Orientation + 4 hours of facility orientation on first day at minimum wage required Responsibilities: + Prepares, packages, and distributes medications prescribed by physicians + Completes paperwork and computer related duties. + Assists pharmacists, physicians, nursing and clinical personnel with pharmacy services. + Maintains department facilities, equipment, and materials in a condition to promote efficiency, health, comfort, and safety of patients and staff. + Checks equipment, supplies and accessories on a regular daily basis. + Keeps supplies current and replenished. + Processes prescriptions, evaluates for quality and accurate patient identification and side labeling. + Maintains confidentiality and adheres to HIPAA privacy laws Benefits At Amergis, we firmly believe that our employees are the heartbeat of our organization and we are happy to offer the following benefits: + Competitive pay & weekly paychecks + Health, dental, vision, and life insurance + 401(k) savings plan + Awards and recognition programs *Benefit eligibility is dependent on employment status.
