The Compatibility & Coating Solutions Team aims at studying the materials compatibility with conventional and unconventional fluids and developing innovative coatings/surface treatment solutions. The team evaluates, develops, and industrializes new emerging technologies to guarantee the best performances of the new Energy Transition products enriching Baker Hughes portfolio. The internal coatings and materials laboratories and the strong collaborations with external research centers and universities allows to effectively address the challenges of the new products development.

We are seeking a highly motivated person with a scientific background in corrosion and corrosion prevention. The main responsibility in the Compatibility & Coating Solution Team will be the study of corrosion issues for turbomachinery and new products, the definition of internal standards for preservation process, the qualification of external suppliers, resolution of non-conformities. In this role he/she will collaborate with internal and external cross functional teams (engineering, manufacturing and sourcing).
Responsibilities:
As Corrosion Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Study of materials compatibility in different corrosive environmentsLaboratory testing for assessing corrosion behavior and chemical compatibility of materials/coatingsDefinition of internal standards for preservation processQualification of external suppliersResolution of non-conformities and deviations in preservation processSupport in ITO (Inquiry to Order) and OTR (Order to Remittance) phases as corrosion and preservation specialist
