Job Summary

The Pricing Analyst is responsible for preparing and managing sales prices and strategy for the corrugated products and services. The pricing analyst calculates sales prices using labor and material data from various sources (plans, material summaries, history, and other documents), and creates detailed proposals and price lists to be used by the sales teams.

Works under general direction; relies on experience and judgment to accomplish tasks; exercises discretion and judgment on work priority on a regular basis; and a wide degree of creativity is required.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Analyzes and documents options for calculating sales price and provide recommendation consistent with company goalsRecommends changes to pricing and/or list of materials as neededDevelops a process to standardize the creation of pricing lists and material lists as neededProvides problem-solving solutions using Building Codes and product informationGathers information from our systems and other departmentsDevelops procedures and focuses on their implementation to achieve departmental goalsEnsures documents prepared are detailed and accurateMaintains up-to-date knowledge on market material, labor and delivery costsResolves various problems while identifying opportunities for improvementCommunicates effectively with other departments within the group (Design, Estimating, Sales, etc.) to hit deadlinesEnsures material and practices meet all UFP policies, procedures, and applicable lawCommunicates to employees and management as requiredPrepares reports and maintains records as requiredPerforms other duties as required

Qualifications

Minimum of high school diploma; however, a bachelor’s degree in accounting, math or finance, is preferred5 years of experience in costing or estimating in corrugated market is preferredMinimum of 3 years of experience managing people is required.Working knowledge of Amtech is preferredProficiency in the use Excel and Access is required
