Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Must comply and support all applicable GMPs, Site Security, and Food Packaging Defense requirements that are referenced in the facilities GFSI food packaging safety program. Other duties as assigned by any member of management. Lead Corrugator department with the supervisors to maintain safety, quality, and efficient production. Responsible for the development and maintenance of a ‘Safety First’ culture Responsible for the control and maintenance of Plant safety, production, quality, and waste percentages to company expectations (4 key drivers) Responsible for training, planning, scheduling, assigning, and directing work, hiring, evaluating employee performance, employee accountability, promoting teamwork, resolving conflict and problem solving. Responsible for maintenance and scheduling of PMs in conjunction with the maintenance department Responsible for communicating openly with both Supervisors and hourly employees and other departments. Responsible for the maintenance and improvement daily corrugator housekeeping standard. Responsible for the development of supervisors for advancement within company Responsible for participating and resolving employee relations issues. Solve production problems that are not or cannot be resolved at the supervisory level. Oversee the inventory of parts and supplies to ensure a continuous operation. Oversee inventories of roll stock and corrugator supplies.These responsibilities and duties are not intended to be all-inclusive. Responsibilities may be added or deleted as necessary.
Education/Experience:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The individual must have knowledge of the computer, Microsoft Word and Excel and email. The individual must have a strong commitment to safety with a belief that all accidents are preventable. The individual must be knowledgeable of corrugated manufacturing practices, procedures, and the quality process. Prior work experience in a corrugated manufacturing plant, preferred. Demonstrate full understanding of wet end and dry end operation of a corrugators. Must be able to troubleshoot root causes of machine problems. Demonstrate knowledge of paper weights, size, liner, medium, kraft, white and special exceptions Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of customer requirement recognizing what is conforming and nonconforming material. Demonstrate ability to read a production schedule including special instructions. Demonstrate awareness of schedule and what is needed to satisfy the customer. Must have a working knowledge of the overall machine both mechanically and operationally. Proficiently inspect and clean machine for optimal performance Demonstrate a full knowledge of paper quality standards and combined board quality standards.
