Corse Early Childhood Center Site Supervisor JobID: 3406 + Position Type: Student Support Services + Date Posted: 9/16/2024 + Location: Corse Early Childhood Center    BURLINGTON COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT Position Title: Early Childhood Center On-Site Supervisor FLSA Status: Exempt Reports to: Principal Days: 260 QUALIFICATIONS Requires the following (or equivalent qualifications): + High school graduate or equivalent. + Early Childhood or Elementary two or four-year degree, preferred. + 2 years of proven successful experience working with children. + Proficient computer skills to include, but not limited to, Microsoft Office and Google Drive. + Knowledge and/or experience in the use of computers and various technological applications. + Knowledge of and skill in managing on-site staff. + Knowledge of and skill in the appropriate use of positive behavior management of school-age children. + Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in regard to work performed. + Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced work environment. + Ability to organize responsibilities and meet deadlines in a timely manner. + Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable. POSITION PURPOSE Works under the supervision of the program principal to ensure that all program activities are functioning to full capacity in working to meet all program goals and outcomes. Is responsible for facilitating daily programming, sustaining a positive learning environment for all children, and assisting in the development and supervision of staff while ensuring the safety of students in the program. PERFORMANCE ACCOUNTABILITIES + Support Principal with daily operation of the center and supervision of direct-care staff. + Serve as an on-site supervisor at child care. + Accommodate child care staffing needs throughout the program. + Ensure children are accounted for and proper record keeping is maintained. + Ensure information regarding exposure to communicable disease is posted immediately upon notification. + Notify parents immediately of emergency, serious incidents, or behavior-related matters. + Maintain staff to child ratio at all times in the program. + Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect children, equipment, materials and facilities. + Establish, monitor and administer behavior guidelines to create a positive, supportive and consistent environment. + Help maintain accurate, complete and correct records as required by law, district policy and administrative regulation. + Assist the administration in implementing all policies and rules. + Confer with parents on a regular basis to discuss the development of their enrolled children. + Ensure time sensitive information is communicated to parents. + Assist in organizing, planning and preparing activities for students; including ordering and receiving needed materials for activities. + Greet parents and students when they arrive and leave. + Assist with developing and maintaining an effective level of communication with appropriate personnel, parents, and students. + Attend supervisor meetings and conduct monthly on- site staff meetings. + Serve as a role model for staff by providing proper leadership, ensuring that established safety and conduct procedures are followed. + Maintain a clean, sanitary, orderly, and safe environment. + Maintain professional growth through college course work, professional organizations, seminars and/or reading related professional literature. + Perform other duties as assigned. Work involves numerous irregularities including complicated, complex, repetitive, and varied tasks. Continuous general concentration necessary. WORKING CONDITIONS Work is primarily performed in an office setting. Occasionally exposed to dust, noise, odors, and other irritants.
