Our people division is growing, and we are looking for an Open Pit Electrician to join our Cortez operations. A successful candidate will have the capabilities to perform equipment repairs and similar duties that require no oversight or direction.

Responsibilities:

Maintains, troubleshoots, repairs, and installs electrical equipment and systems. Utilizing technical, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.  Performs general maintenance duties Work on projects throughout the entire facility running conduit, pulling wire, and connecting devices, using lifts and ladders.  Perform equipment repairs and similar duties that require no oversight or direction. Uses complex electrical schematics and blueprints to troubleshoot and correct problems. Displays positive attitudes and practices good work ethics that reflect the mission, philosophy, and goals of the company. Provides excellent customer service. Complete tasks in a timely manner and provide feedback. Perform other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications:

A minimum of 5+ years related work experience as an Industrial or Commercial Electrician required Knowledge in using hand tools, electrical meter, and testing equipment required Efficient in sizing conductors, conduits and using NEC Code Book required Experienced in handling low to high voltage up to 480 VAC required Strong knowledge in troubleshooting of motor controls, drives, and electronic components required Ability to interpret electrical prints and schematics preferred Ability to install electrical equipment and circuit modification preferred Ability to work in high elevation up to 80 ft. high required  Ability to lift and carry at least 90 pounds required.  Perform job responsibilities with integrity under minimal to no supervision required. Proven attention to detail with a high level of accuracy required. Excellent organizational, time management skills required. Ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently required. Demonstrated well-developed interpersonal skills, with a courteous and pleasant customer service focus required. Excellent verbal, written, and radio communication skills required. Capability to multi-task, self-manage and self-motivate required. Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standards required. Willingness to work weekends and possible overtime required. Willingness to work in inclement weather conditions required.
