The Computer Programmer III [CP III] (Jr. Software Developer) is responsible for the execution of a variety of technical services consistent with the SLP Technical Support Division’s System Development. The CP III provides services along project inception, business process and requirements analysis, system design, system development, testing, deployment, project sign off, continuing technical assistance for system maintenance, change and enhancements and system evaluation.
Functions and Responsibilities:
The Computer Programmer III will deliver various contributions to the following areas:
1. Develops SLP’s ERP Systems/Information Systems and all matters relating thereto, while closely coordinating with other IT officers concerned for proper guidance and directions.
2. Formulates validation techniques for quality data collection and management to ensure adequacy, accuracy, and legitimacy of data.
3. Develops system documentation during and/or after the system programming stage.
4. Performs unit and systems testing accordingly to ensure smooth program implementation and operation of the newly developed system.
5. Maintains and enhances the information systems developed and used for the program.
6. Closely works and coordinates with the concerned stakeholders and other IT officers.
7. Performs other related tasks as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Job Outputs:
1. Conduct all steps in the software development cycle;
2. Identify opportunities to automate existing program processes and foster an environment of efficiency, innovation, and continuous improvement;
3. Conduct systematic monitoring of software engineering processes, tools, and methods used to ensure the quality of applications developed;
4. Devise and implement efficient and secure procedures for data handling with attention to all technical aspects;
5. Provide technical assistance in the preparation of system maintenance, monitoring, change management, and sustainability plans;
6. Process requests for change management and sustainability plans;
7. Prepare and submit documentation of tasks performed and services rendered;
8. Conduct quality assurance and system testing to ensure systems are released and error-free;
9. Comply with desired business requirements.
