JOB DESCRIPTION

Under general supervision and with limited latitude for the exercise of independent judgment, performs simple but responsible professional work on employee relations and public sector unionism, particularly for the Management Panel.

Functions and Responsibilities:

1. Draft necessary correspondence, reports and proposals on public sector unionism;

Serve as Management Secretariat for the Association-Management Consultative Committee, CNA Negotiation Panels, and other Technical Working Groups as may be assigned:

   a. Draft notices/agenda and prepares other relevant documents (Special Orders, m Memorandum, etc.) to inform the members on the details of the meetings;

   b. Document the meetings and/or other activities of the Committee to highlight the major agreements and/or forward actions that must be undertaken;

   c. Develop internal rules of engagement/terms of reference, resolutions and appropriate policies as agreed by the body; and

2. Monitor agreements and commitments of the body.

3. Monitor the Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) provisions and accomplishments as agreed upon by parties and stakeholders and review these provisions during renewal and provide recommendations, as necessary.

4. Coordinate concerns of the Association to the Management and liaise with CSC for matters pertaining to public sector unionism; and

5. Perform other related tasks in the section and/or division, as may be assigned.
