JOB DESCRIPTION

Under direction, performs supervisory functions, professional/technical functions in the development and implementation of administrative plans, programs, policies, standards, guidelines; and does other related works.

Functions and Responsibilities:

1. Provides technical and administrative support to the Special Assistant to the Secretary for Disaster Response Management Group (DRMG) in addressing the crucial directives of the Secretary relative to Disaster Response Management (DRM) programs, projects, and activities (PPAs);

2. Prepares consolidated reports and submits recommendation based on observations and submitted reports of the NRLMB and regions relative to supply chain management of Food and Non-Food Items (F/NFIs);

3. Identifies and recommends additional functions of the office for a more effective implementation of supply chain management and mobilization of volunteers assisting the NRLMB, Disaster Resource Centers (DRCs), and other production hubs;

4. Assists in liaison work with other government agencies and non-government organizations if need arises;

5. Assists in the preparation of materials and literature on DRM PPAs;

6. Drafts policies and procedures relative to the organizational development of the National Resource and Logistics Management Bureau (NRLMB) and Disaster Response Management Bureau (DRMB), supply chain management, volunteer mobilization, and other DRM-related programs/services;

7. Develops monitoring guidelines, assessment tools, and reporting system relative to supply chain management and other DRM-related programs/services;

8. Establishes and maintains linkages with donor agencies both local and international through sectoral meetings/consultations, workshops/conferences;

9. Establishes data bank of projects (as applicable) with funding support and its current status;

10. Prepares and submits reports as required for and by the Office;

11. Coordinates with the Office of the Secretary (OSEC) relative to compliance to the Secretary’s directives; and

12. Performs other assignments that may be assigned from time to time.
