JOB DESCRIPTION
The Project Development Officer III (PDO III) - Data Analyst is responsible for DROMIC the data crunching: interpretation, analysis and management using statistical techniques; developing and implementing databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality; and acquiring data from primary or secondary data sources and maintaining databases.
Functions and Responsibilities:
In coordination with DROMIC database administrator/manager:
1. Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analysis, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
2. Acquire data from primary or secondary disaster data sources and maintain databases/ data systems.
3. Filter and sanitize data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.
4. Interpret disaster data, analyze its results using statistical techniques, and provide pertinent feedback and reports.
5. Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.
6. Develop analysis and reporting capabilities and perform monitoring of performance and quality control plans to identify improvements.
7. Conduct full lifecycle analysis to include requirements, activities, and design for DRRM related reports.
8. Prepare/craft project proposals for DROMIC activities.
9. Prepare required DRRM-related DROMIC reports.
10. Provide technical assistance to Field Offices.
11. Perform other DROMIC-related works that may be assigned from time to time by the immediate supervisor and/or higher authorities.
Job Outputs:
1. Project proposals, guidelines and manuals for the enhancement of DRMB-DROMIC Information and Technology system;
2. Memorandum and related communications;
3. Feedback reports on field missions field monitoring visits technical assistance; meetings, workshops, trainings, etc.; DRRM-related DROMIC Reports, PowerPoint presentations;
4. Comments and inputs to correspondences, policies, and guidelines as required by the Bureau Director; and
5. Other reports may be required.

9. Authenticated or photocopy of Civil Service Eligibility and/or Valid PRC ID/Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) ID/proof of payment or schedule of appointment for the PRC/IBP renewal license; and
10. Performance Rating in the last rating period or its equivalent, as may be applicable.

(i) For those applicants from the public sector vying for promotion, a performance rating is required.
