JOB DESCRIPTION
The Project Development Officer IV (PDO IV) primarily supervises the staff of the two (2) Technical Units under the Disaster Reporting and Information Communication Development Section. As the Technical Supervisor of the said Section, the PDO IV is responsible to ensure that the units fully comply with its mandated functions and responsibilities in disaster response particularly in disaster information management per Administrative Order (AO) No. 02, series of 2015. The PDO IV is responsible in managing DROMIC's compliance to its technical requirements in disaster information management – particularly in bringing out completed staff work in the accomplishment of its required tasks.
Functions and Responsibilities:
1. Supervise Report Writers and Information Officers under the Disaster Reporting and Information Communication Development Section of DROMIC;
2. Monitor, review, consolidate, and prepare DROMIC reports, including disaster response activities and accomplishments of the various divisions' program implementations;
3. Coordinate with Information Officers for the publication of consolidated updates on the DRMB and DROMIC websites;
4. Review, edit, supervise, and evaluate comprehensiveness of DRRM-related report contents by proofreading, identifying necessary changes or improvements, and ensuring that modifications and/or enhancements are implemented;
5. Analyze and thoroughly review the completeness and substance of the documents processed by the staff of the Section;
6. Coordinate with appropriate agencies and DSWD Field Offices regarding DROMIC technical requirements;
7. Conduct learning sessions and provide technical assistance to the team to address technical operation implications based on their experiences;
8. Conduct spot-check monitoring of DROMIC Technical Staff work assignments;
9. Provide technical assistance to DSWD Field Offices as needed;
10. Develop project proposals for workshops, writeshops, trainings, and meetings; and
11. Undertake additional duties and other DROMIC-related tasks that may be assigned from time to time by higher authorities.
Job Outputs:
1. Record of supervision for DROMIC technical staff, including memoranda and other related communications;
2. Approved project proposals for workshops, writeshops, trainings, and meetings;
3. Feedback reports on field missions, field monitoring visits, technical assistance, meetings, workshops, and trainings;
4. DRRM-related DROMIC reports, and PowerPoint presentations;
5. Comments and inputs on correspondences, policies, and guidelines as required by the Division Chief and/or Bureau Director; and,
6. Other reports as may be required.
