JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the immediate supervision of the Section Chief/Division Chief, provide technical inputs in strengthening the provision of existing programs and services of the Department that are available for PLHIC and their families with the concerned FOs, GOs, NGAs. Prepares, consolidates, analyzes periodic reports, and provides recommendations as a basis for program or policy enhancements. Provide technical assistance to Field Offices and other organizations through various forms, such as but not limited to acting as Resource Person and monitoring visits to Field Offices and other concerned offices as necessary. Conduct and organize meetings, training, and workshops to deliver sectoral concerns.

Functions and Responsibilities:

 

1.  Execute policies and program standards;

2. Provide technical inputs in strengthening the provision of existing programs and services of the Department that are available for Persons Living with HIV and in the implementation of the various related programs of the Department in coordination with concerned OBS, FOs, GOs, NGAs;

3. Facilitate/attend the Philippine National AIDS Council regular meetings;

4. Provide quality technical assistance to the Field Offices and other concerned stakeholders on assisting the handled sector;

5. Conduct monitoring and provide further technical assistance to the Field Offices through capacity-building activities;

6. Propose, monitor, and ensure the utilization of funds of the programs for the handled sector;

7. Develop and provide inputs and comments on policies and programs concerning the handled sector and/or as instructed by the Division Chief;

8. Attend meetings and other official activities related to handled programs;

9. Prepares periodic accomplishment report of the handled programs with analysis and recommendations for policy, program, and systems enhancements;

10. Prepare project proposals and work, and a financial plan relative to the program handled;

11. Review, comment, and acknowledge quarterly reports from Field Offices;

12. Respond to queries, requests, and referrals from DSWD’s OBSUs/Field Offices;

13. Facilitate requests and referrals to appropriate agencies, including phone inquiries, email, and walk-in;

14. Act as a resource person in various capacity-building activities and advocacy campaigns related to the sector; and

15. Perform other related tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor.
