JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the direct supervision of the Section Chief and the Division Chief, shall be responsible for the monitoring of GEDSI Mainstreaming, provision of technical assistance, and capacity building activities for all retained programs and services with GAA provisions, and directly implemented and monitored by the Bureau.

Functions and Responsibilities:

 

1. Provide technical assistance in mainstreaming the GEDSI perspective in all policies, plans and programs of the Bureau;

2. Coordinate efforts with the different divisions/sections of the PSB and the Field Offices (FOs) in mainstreaming GEDS in the programs, systems, and processes;

3. Prepare annual outcome-based GEDSI strategic plans, programs, and budget of the Bureau;

4. Develop a comprehensive capacity development program of the Bureau’s staff on GEDSI Mainstreaming, such as but not limited to, conduct of learning needs assessment (LNA);conduct of a bureau-wide inventory of staff that have undergone a Gender Sensitivity Training (GST); institutionalize mandatory GST for all onboarding personnel/staff; and laderrized GEDSI training for all program focal staff;

5. Facilitate orientation and training of the Bureau for all its program focal staff, including budget officers and administrative staff, to ensure that all personnel are equipped with knowledge, skills, and the right attitude for GEDSI mainstreaming work;

6. Provide technical assistance to program focal points in developing their proposed trainings/activities to comply with the management of learning for GEDSI;

7. Collaborate with Divisions/Sections’ program staff in providing technical assistance to the Field Office’s (FOs) various sectoral and community-based programs to ensure that GEDSI mainstreaming is being undertaken in the implementation of protective services programs at the level of the region;

8. Provide technical assistance to other partners/government agencies/non-government agencies/private sector, as necessary, who may request for resource person/speaker for GEDSI topics;

9. Attend gender mainstreaming activities, strategic planning, and meetings of the agency’s GFPS in the Central Office;

10. Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Job Outputs:

1. Periodic accomplishment report of the program/s handled with analysis and recommendation for policy, program, and systems enhancements;

2. Annual outcome-based GEDSI strategic plans, programs, and budget of the Bureau;

3. Correspondence/Communications letter/memo;

4. Feedback Reports on workshops, forums, trainings, and inter-agency meetings attended;

5. Program’s guidelines and/or guidance notes to the EXECOME and other OBSUs (as necessary);

6. Comments to Bills, Policies, and Other Related Documents that concern GEDSI mainstreaming;

7. Project Proposals/Activity Proposals for the comprehensive capacity development program of the Bureau’s staff on GEDSI Mainstreaming;

8. Technical Assistance (TA) Plan;

9. Confirmation and Feedback Reports after TA sessions;

10. Outputs on other tasks as assigned.
