Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Cosmetic Ingredient Analyst to lead the development of natural cosmetic active ingredients and conduct analytical studies. He/she will be joining a dynamic team of 20+ scientists in a multicultural environment.

Has an excellent knowledge of natural cosmetic active ingredient development and their chemical analysis.Is determined to invest its technical and scientific expertise in analytical chemistry to support the development of innovative natural ingredients.Is able to manage complex projects from experimental design to industrial production in an international and multidisciplinary team environment.Contributes scientifically and operationally to the development of analytical lab research activities.Is open to innovation and ready to face challenges.Would be happy to take part in the creation of a new team and to play an active role in its development.

Responsibilities: 

Leads the development of cosmetic ingredients in collaboration with the natural ingredient process engineer.Is responsible for development and implementation of physicochemical & chromatographic techniques (LC-UV/MS, HPTLC, GC-FID/MS) to identify, characterize and quantify active substances.Reviews scientific literature, conducts experiments, analyzes data, creates reports, and makes presentations to team and colleagues, transforms data into usable information and makes recommendations.Participates in patent review and redaction.Creates product specifications.Works in close collaboration with other R&D team membersParticipates in day-to-day lab activities and preventive and/or corrective maintenance of analytical systems and in the development, implementation and improvement of the IFF Quality Management System.

Education & skillset:

MSc/Engineer/PhD in Chemistry, 10+ years of experienceStrong and robust skills in development and chemical analysis of natural active ingredientsVery good knowledge of natural active ingredientsAbility to work effectively in a matrix organization and drive cross-functional projects.Innovation and proactive mindsetAbility to work in full autonomy and to collaborate effectively in a positive attitude.Problem solving skills and collaborative spirit.Effective communication in French and English (verbal and written), organizational, and interpersonal skills.
