Drybar Montecito is looking for a hair stylist educator / trainer who is *DEEPLY* passionate about hair and who gives a killer blowout!

Enough about us, let’s talk about you! We are looking for a rockstar hair stylist educator who:

Has a preferred minimum of 1 year experience as a hairstylist or cosmetologist trainer or educator in the beauty industry in a hair salon, barber shop, or spa environment (but don’t let that deter you  if you know this is the job for you!)Holds a current and valid state Cosmetology licenseHas strong organizational skills and can drive a very positive, learning and development focused cultureIs able to communicate in the best and worst situations to achieve the desired result and find the best solution for allHas a proven track record of stellar customer service - customers love you!Can pivot easily with finesse in even the most difficult moments - Multi-task with ease

Responsibilities Manage hair quality by upholding Drybar standards including scheduling and conducting practical
stylist interviews, developing personalized training plans, and providing follow up trainingConduct stylist new-hire training in a timely manner, ensuring all certification criteria and
onboarding is met prior to releasing trainees to the floor Qualifications Licensed or certified to perform blowout services in your state and / or municipality (typically an active and current esthetician or cosmetologist license).Experience with customer service in the beauty industry Experience conducting service adjustments to ensure guest satisfaction and loyalty.Experience in increasing quality of service execution of peers.Proven track record for gaining repeat business.Proven track record in upgrading services to guests.Experience with facilitating formal blowout and styling training in accordance with a training curriculum and certifying successful completion of training programs.Experience with facilitating mentorship, or informal on-the-job blowout and styling service training.Experience being a leader in handling with finesse, a high traffic, high stress, environment where attention can often and abruptly be pulled in multiple directions.Experience in leading organizational culture – embodying a culture of learning, development, and potential for growth.High levels of resilience: solution focus especially when presented with complexity and the seemingly impossible.High levels of dedication: willing to voluntarily go the extra mile.High levels of vigor: Positive and uplifting attitude – works well individually, in teams, and in large group collaborative settings.High levels of absorption: You have high focus, love what you do, and get lost in your work.High levels of creativity: You look at problems as puzzles and provide a unique perspective in contributions.Internal shop candidates must meet the requirements outlined by shop leadership.
