Miller Brothers Staffing is seeking an experienced Accountant for a direct hire opportunity in Saegertown, PA. This is a great role for a detail-oriented and analytical professional who thrives in a manufacturing or industrial environment. The ideal candidate has experience with general ledger, reconciliations, financial reporting, and ERP systems.

Position Overview:
The Accountant will be responsible for supporting core accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, financial reporting, audits, budgeting, and monthly closings. This role is vital to maintaining accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across the accounting function.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage AP/AR and payroll processes with accuracy and timeliness

Maintain the general ledger and supporting records in compliance with accounting standards

Perform monthly reconciliations (balance sheets, bank accounts, etc.)

Prepare accurate financial reports (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow)

Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes

Collaborate with auditors and provide necessary documentation

Assist with budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis

Monitor expenses and support cost-saving initiatives

Identify and implement process improvements

Use accounting systems/ERP tools for data accuracy and reporting

Perform other accounting duties as needed

Skills & Competencies:

Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards

Strong Excel skills (spreadsheets, modeling, analysis)

Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., JD Edwards, Oracle, Dayforce)

Excellent attention to detail and analytical mindset

Ability to clearly present financial data and trends

Effective communication and collaboration skills

Strong organizational and time management abilities

Proactive and solution-oriented

Qualifications:

Required:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

2–4 years of accounting experience

Preferred:

CPA, CMA, or similar certification

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit for extended periods

Regular use of computer systems and spreadsheets
