Cost Accountant Job Description Empirical Systems Aerospace, Inc. is seeking a Cost Accountant to join our finance department. ESAero is a growing aerospace company in the San Luis Obispo area and provides various services which include but are not limited to: rapid system development, on-demand niche engineering, hands-on development/testing, and small UAS aerospace system manufacturing.  **This position is fully on-site at Empirical System's Aerospace in San Luis Obispo, CA Essential Duties and Responsibilities:   + Proposal Review + Inventory adjustments and transfers and billing + Invoicing capitalized labor + Cost accounting to include manufacturing costing and job costing + Monthly journal entries  + Reconciliations of item fulfilments/inventory/end of project material transfers + Liaise with operations and project management functions for accurate tracking of inventory and assist with periodic physical inventory counts. + Ensure accurate reporting of inventory balances on the general ledger and the trial balance + Support PM's/PA's/Project Accountant + Logistics support  + Project Set-ups  Required Qualifications and Skills: + 2+ Years Accounting Experience in Manufacturing Environment + Experience with ERP + BS in Accounting or Finance required  + Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Excel skills  + Extreme attention to detail  + Understanding of business accounting principles as well as basic auditing principles in relation to inventory balances + Understanding of basic contracting principles (government and commercial)  + Familiarity with DCAA compliance a plus  Standard Benefits:   + Health: Health/Dental/Vision  + PTO + Retirement: 401k  + Casual dress code, Free snacks + Amazing location to live, work, and play  ESAero is an equal opportunity employer.  E-Verify Participation Required for employment.
