Cost Accountant
POSITION SUMMARY:   This position is responsible for various costing activities including maintaining labor and overhead rates, cost rollups, inventory valuations, posting inventory transactions, and inventory reconciliation in the ERP system.  The cost accountant is responsible for variance analysis and maintaining accurate general ledger accounts related to inventory and inventory movement.  This position will also provide input into various aspects of financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and ad hoc analysis and reporting. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: + Maintain pricing information worldwide.  Includes manufacturing/purchase costs for all products. + Work closely with Operations in maintaining correct pricing structure within system. + Work closely with Sales in establishing pack, promo, specialty pricing to aid in product sales. + Prepare pricing models for approval for all markets worldwide. + Assist in the creation of employee product pricing for approval + Prepare VAT reports both monthly and quarterly. + Prepare monthly tax reports + Provide approval of VAT returns once prepared by international accounting firms. + Provide product cost analysis on existing products as well as new products. + Use Bill of Materials costing to provide cost changes to management. + Work closely with R&D in the creation of the cost breakdown of new products. + Provides customs cost information to logistics + Must maintain confidentiality on all pricing and costs. Note:   This description is not intended to be all-inclusive.  Employee may be requested to perform other duties as requested.  QUALIFICATIONS:   + Bachelors degree in accounting or related field, with 2-4 years of cost accounting experience or equivalent combination of both. + Experience with Oracle and Exigo and ERP systems  + Proficient in Microsoft with advance computer skills in Excel + Strong attention to detail + Strong understanding of inventory valuation and related impacts on financial statements + Good communication and analytical skills PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Position is required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, bend, reach and kneel occasionally; and lift from 10 to 15 pounds occasionally.  WORK ENVIRONMENT: Noise, dust, lighting, temperature and physical/ergonomic hazards are typically of those usually found in an office environment.   Powered by JazzHR
