Cost Accountant
Description: The Sr. Cost Accountant/Operations Analyst supports the Director of Finance in accurately capturing and recording COGS and inventory value. The position is also responsible for improving current business processes using Epicor functionality to support end users and to resolve problems. All responsibilities include company-wide activities related to the analysis of actual results and the projections of future results. The main objective of the position is to deliver reliable and timely data as basis of management’s decision. Requirements: + Month end activities: review/correct production orders, capture COGS/WIP activity, research purchase price variances and production order variances + Inventory reporting on a weekly and monthly basis + Calculate E&O reserves + Support mass cost rolls (yearly/quarterly) and new part cost rolls + Analyze costs and recommend cost savings + Create reports to analyze company financials + P&L by product groups – analyzes profitability by product group + Calculate rates for various departments (Operations, Quality and Manufacturing) + Maintain material overhead rates for raw materials & purchased finished goods (freight, duty and overhead) + Support company with Epicor knowledge and new reports/KPI’s + Assists with the forecast of manufacturing and non-manufacturing expenses + Work with Business Intelligence to improve business process and establish dashboard reporting + Track/develop company KPI’s + Preparation of ad-hoc analyses and reports as required by management + Comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principle (GAAP) for financial statements + Support internal and external audits + Develop and maintain the cost accounting system, documents, and record of the organization About Aston Carter: Aston Carter provides world-class corporate talent solutions to thousands of clients across the globe.
