Responsible for monitoring and valuing the inventories of finished goods, WIP, and raw material.  Also responsible for calculating cost-of-goods sold as it relates to sales and maintaining an accurate inventory on a perpetual basis.

Responsibilities Track inventoryIdentify/monitor the location of assets on the balance sheetMonthly inventory accountingReport daily inventory levelsOversee quarterly physical inventory and reconciliation of countMonth-end close dutiesBi-weekly spare parts, purchase order, and paint auditsVariance analysis of coils using Daily Production ReportMonitor freight account throughout the month to ensure rates are accurateWeekly scrap analysisExamine packaging GL accounts to confirm goods received are coded accurately on a weekly basisTrack steel purchase orders, including terms and conditionsAssess weekly sales to verify route sequence is correctComplete special projects and analyses as assigned Qualifications

Required

Bachelor's degree (Accounting preferred)Two or more years of experience in Cost Accounting in a manufacturing settingStrong Microsoft Excel skillsKnowledge of computer systems, both mainframe and PC-basedGreat attention to detailAbility to multitask, prioritize, and complete tasks in a timely manner

CPA, MBA, or CMA
