Morgan Corp. is currently searching for a Cost Accountant to work with our Equipment Division.
Morgan Corp. is seeking a Cost Accountant to assist with daily, weekly, and monthly Equipment Division processes. The Cost Accountant will provide administrative support and assistance for the equipment shop which includes: communication and collaboration, organizational skills, decision making, and record keeping.
Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Analysis:
Work in the Viewpoint Vista software system tracking: equipment costs, equipment recovery, physical locations, equipment transfers, and meter readings. Leverage various internet-based portals to obtain key data for asset management and analysis. Issue purchase orders and process invoices for shop and field mechanics. Assist with employee time entry for certain team members and close out workorders where appropriate. Assist the team with equipment reports such as: fleet make-up, fleet average age, equipment utilization, residual market value analysis, repairs cost percentage, and any other recurring reports Assist with new/existing process documentation and non-routine special projects.Communication and Collaboration:
Maintain polite and professional communication via phone, email, and mail. Support team by performing assigned tasks with high quality in a timely manner Perform other duties and/or special projects as needed Aid when non-routine tasks arise.Organizational skills:
Assist with filing paperwork whether it be digitally or physically Take clear notes, set deadlines, and be accountable for ongoing projects. Responsible for documenting processes to facilitate recurring duties.
Qualifications
4-year degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field, preferred. high school diploma or GED required Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
