About the Role

Under the direction of the Controller, the Cost Accountant is responsible for ensuring and maintaining the quality & integrity of the price, cost & inventory information within an automotive seating environment.  Provide explanations for business performance and identifying areas of improvement.

Your Responsibilities Maintenance of standard manufacturing cost Coordinating with purchasing to ensure SAP master cost data is accurate and in sync Reviewing Bill of Material (BOM) accuracy in a just-in-time (JIT) environment that utilizes a Component Based Manufacturing process Calculation of Overhead and Labor rates incorporated into standard costs Contribution Margin analysis of all programs Perform monthly analysis of inventory in terms of LCM and In-Transit Maintain understanding of offline inventory systems (i.e.: MRO) Responsible for monthly Balance Sheet reconciliation of all inventory accounts Responsible for coordination, maintenance, and processing of Retroactive Vendor Pricing and Customer Pricing Who we are looking for A bachelor’s degree in accounting/economics or related field, is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and extensive experience Minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of progressive financial experience in a manufacturing environment Your preferred qualifications Must be strong analytically Must have excellent interpersonal skills along with oral and written communication skills Must be a self-starter with demonstrated organization and prioritization skills Experience with SAP FI/CO, a plus Solid MS office EXCEL skills Experience in JIT/Component Based cost accounting is preferred What we offer
