Basic Job Functions:

Basic Job Functions: The Cost Accountant will be responsible for performing journal entries and analysis of the financial key business costs and metrics to provide the operations team with the financial perspective and information to make better business decisions. This position will work closely with all departments to analyze departmental cost and drive continuous improvements across all aspects of the business. The Cost Accountant will be heavily involved in the month end close process, including but not limited to journal entries, financial reporting, fixed asset and capital project financial management, and monthly financial reconciliations. This position reports to the Accounting Manager. 

Starting Salary: $60K with Return on Assets Bonus

Minimum Qualifications: Four (4) year degree in Accounting or Finance. Strong computer skills that include experience with all Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel). Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to work overtime including weekends and holidays Occasional travel is required. Preferred Qualifications: Master's in Business Administration (MBA).  Active CMS/CPA certification (in good standing or pursuing certification). Experience with product costing, inventory analysis and managerial concepts in manufacturing.  Working knowledge of GAAP and an effective internal controls.  Experience with Oracle Enterprise software.  Experience with Power BI application.
