Description We are seeking a dedicated Cost Accountant/Analyst for a long-term contract employment opportunity in Huntington Beach, California. The selected candidate will be working in the manufacturing industry, utilizing their skills in various accounting software systems, ERP, and Microsoft Excel to perform essential duties. Responsibilities: • Efficiently and accurately process costings in journal entries during month-end. • Consolidate costs for comprehensive financial analysis. • Maintain and clear records in the ERP system to prevent future errors. • Knowledge Infor M3, SQL, Power BI, Access, and Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) for various accounting functions. • Communicate effectively and follow through on tasks and projects. • Analyze future projections and prepare reports for the same. • Oversee accounts payable (AP) to ensure accuracy and timeliness. • Use your knowledge of cost accounting to provide valuable insights and recommendations. • Manage and monitor customer accounts, taking appropriate action when necessary. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Cost Accountant/Analyst or in a similar role. • Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems. • Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning. • Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions. • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP). • Knowledge of Infor M3. • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, especially in creating Pivot Tables and using VLOOKUP function. • Solid background in Cost Accounting. • Experience in the Manufacturing sector is preferred. • Ability to prepare and analyze Consolidated Financial Statements.
