For more information, visit hormelfoods.com . **RESPONSIBILITIES:** This position will be held by an individual with a strong degree of knowledge, understanding, and experience regarding the accounting, purchasing, operations, sales, and marketing functions and processes within the Hormel organization. This position will be focused on inventory processes, policies, and reporting. + Coordinates, implements, trains, and recommends inventory control policies (SOX and Operational) + Administers corporate inventory controls, including cycle counting accuracy reviews, compliance, and risk assessments. + Manages item discontinuation process. + Completes full absorption and lower of cost or net realizable value calculations. + Completes monthly, weekly, and quarterly inventory reporting and accounting duties. + Provide oversight and assistance to accounting related functionality performed by directly managed and indirectly managed staff. + Serves as the finance liaison for sub-ledger mechanical inventory systems (EAM, POP) + Key contact for inventory processes for internal and external audits. **QUALIFICATIONS:** Level of position offered (Cost Accountant or Senior Cost Analyst) will be determined based on candidates experience and skill set. **Required** + A bachelor's degree with a major in the field of Accounting or Finance. + 3+ years of accounting or Finance experience. + General understanding of manufacturing process and inventory controls. + A pattern of initiative and leadership. + The ability to analyze data and processes to initiate or recommend necessary changes for improvement. + Strong problem solving and decision-making skills. + Highly developed interpersonal skills. + Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills. + Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States. + Applicants must not now, or in the future, require sponsorship for an employment visa. **Preferred** + Prior manufacturing accounting experience. + Completion or working towards completion of CMA or CPA certification. + Prior experience with QAD, SFDC, Order Processing, and Oracle applications. + Working knowledge of Cloud reporting tools. **LOCATION:** Austin, MN At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for this role is between **$80,800-$128,400 per year** , and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.
