Overview Under the general direction of the Cost Manager, responsible for maintaining a complex integrated system of financial services that contribute to cost effective accounting management control over the project financial records. Supervises the overall project accounting / Cost accounting tasks for multiple programs to provide accurate, timely, and reliable services and reports. Services include accounting, analysis, and active participation in the overall accounting period close planning, financial accounting reconciliation and analysis, and reporting. Responsibilities Supervises Accounting employees, providing daily support and guidance. Coordinates daily workflow to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Ensures department performance goals are met. Responsible for the full range of supervisory activities for department including selection, training, evaluations, vacation schedules and counseling. (10%) Ensures that all financial reporting activities for the program are thoroughly and timely prepared and reviewed and that all reports are in compliance with appropriate financial standards and company requirements. Ensures that all reconciliations are completed accurately and timely for month end close. Ensures all Journal entries are accurate and have all required backup. Interfaces with internal and external auditors. Ensures all Expense reports/Advices/Cash Receipts are correctly booked. Performs other related duties as required. Qualifications Education / Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance. Experience: Seven years of experience in all areas of accounting and finance. Previous Supervisory experience is preferred. Must have excellent written, verbal communication skills, and demonstrate leadership, supervisory and planning abilities.
