Job Description
You will be a direct report to Global Cost Accounting Manager and lead the activities of the cost accounting team in Katowice. You will work with the manufacturing sites & distribution centers on variances to standards, physical inventories, issue identification and implementation of the corrective actions. You will have experience supporting partners, financial and systems knowledge with a focus on efficiency.
Your Responsibilities:• Lead Cost Accounting team on a daily basis
• Oversee daily operations of the team members to ensure application of cost accounting principles and other process activities
• Monitor the financial integrity of manufacturing processes including Production Order Variance, Purchase Price Variance & Cycle Counts analysis
• Work with the manufacturing floor to resolve issues and ensure controls are followed
• Perform the month end close process for the Cost Accounting team related entries
• Participate in the global cost roll process and ensure its accuracy and completeness
• Coordinate the physical inventory audits
• Maintain tight compliance controls: ensure compliance with the requirements of the Corporate Finance Policies (SOX, external audit) related to inventory
• Deliver specific process improvement projects to build better business support
• Train the Cost Accounting team on cost roll and SAP transactional analytics
• Help motivate the team to achieve targets and performance standards
