Your mission, roles and responsibilities

Position Description

Title         :     BOP (Buy out parts) Cost Analyst
    
Reports To     :    BOP Costing Manager

Description :
The BOP Costing analyst is in charge of establishing a target cost and a benchmark cost recommendation for the buy-out parts, used for RFQ, and sourcing, till the end of serial life phases, in alignment with the benchmark strategy defined at the Business Group level regarding supplier panel, production processes, and cost structure. The main missions of the role are to:

▪    Provide benchmark cost targets to Division purchasing teams at RFQ and sourcing phases, in line with Strategy defined between Global commodities and the BG Costing team 
o    Follow costing tools and procedures for BOPs 
o    Calculate and report the gap to benchmark for BOP sourced on a monthly basis
▪    Provide reliability gap to benchmark reporting in serial life and communicate it to all internal customers (Divisions managers, Purchasing managers) of the Division:
o    Calculate the gap to benchmark for all BOP purchased on a monthly basis
o    Ensure all benchmark and actual data are accurate in the target costing tools
•    Audit supplier's cost structure, identify main gaps and support commodity purchasing teams' action plans to close the gaps.
o    Co-lead with relevant commodity purchasing teams all supplier's cost structure audits and consolidate the information within the costing and purchasing network.
•    Exchange with the global BOP costing network all relevant information and analysis to continuously improve the benchmark simulation environment:
o    Participate in the benchmark activities of competitor's systems or new value spaces systems and provide accurate cost estimates for BOP.
▪    Others
o    Coach the purchasing team on costing fundamentals and audits methodology
o    Sensibilize operational, plant controllers, and program controllers to BOP costing targets


Qualifications : 
The ideal candidate will have/be:
o    Bachelor's degree in engineering or Associate's degree in engineering, with a specialisation in Production or technical purchasing
o    MBA in Finance is preferred
o    Minimum 04/06 years relevant experience in an industrial environment including a first technical experience (production, manufacturing engineering,…)
o    Commodity: Basic knowledge of Stampings, Tubing, machining etc. 
o    Technical products oriented & finance basics understanding 
o    Demonstrated strong communication skills, analytical and synthesis skills
o    Fluent in English
o    Global Mindset & exposure to the international environment
