Our Nuclear Projects group is a Tier 1 provider to the U.S. Department of Energy, we deliver safe and innovative solutions at complex nuclear cleanup and production sites. Our services include program management, decommissioning, environmental remediation, waste and nuclear material management, nuclear operations, consulting, engineering, and construction. We are looking to add a Cost Analyst Manager to our growing team out at the Spent Fuel Handling Project that is in Scoville, ID which is about 55 miles away from Idaho Falls.
The Cost Analyst Manager is responsible for providing direction, oversight, guidance and support to all cost analysts supporting the Spent Fuel Handling Project at the Naval Reactors Facility of Idaho National Lab. Leads development and maintenance of reports, procedures and work processes for cost and variance analysis. This position reports to the Project Controls Manager. Works with Operations and Project leadership including the Project Manager, Project Controls Manager and Construction Manager as required to develop and maintain EVMS and cost reports and procedures.
Primary Duties\:
Identification and mitigation of risks Collect, analyze, trend forecasting and reporting on project data and cost variances Review and support the ongoing updates to Earned Value Management System (EVMS) metrics Provide leadership to support the following project needs\: Provide leadership and training for the Project Cost Analyst (PCA) team members. Must be a Senior Project Cost Analyst Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred, but relevant work experience and training are a top priority A comprehensive understanding of large-scale engineering, procurement and construction processes including the logic, scope sequences, fabrication shop load requirements, and subcontract requirements / interfaces Understanding of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) principles Comprehensive understanding of project controls requirements, process and procedures Ability to direct, follow direction and lead other Project Cost Analyst employees Ability to work together with client and other contract representatives as part of a group, the ability to accurately communicate ideas, instructions, questions, problems, solutionsRequirements\:
Must understand construction project cost analytics processes Construction knowledge or project process knowledge Experience with DOE Order 413.3B EVMS requirement standards Experience managing Firm Fixed Price Contracts Strong skills in Microsoft Office suite of software (emphasis on Excel skills)Competencies\:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Strong prioritization and organizational skills Detail-oriented Adaptability Critical Thinking Decision Making Strategy Collaboration Self-motivated
Essential Functions\:
· Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting. Lifting requirements limited to 20 lbs. in the form of supplies, drawings, etc. Longest distance of 50 feet. Hand manipulation is required for simple grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation. Right and/or left hands utilized. Occasional need to reach and/or work above the shoulder, for supplies, as well as below the shoulder for same. No foot controls necessary. Must be alert to equipment in the field, there will be occasional travel, will work near construction job site equipment when in the field, occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, occasional need to walk on uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to noise, extremes in temperature or humidity, and potential work at heights.

· U.S. Citizenship required. Valid driver's license is required. Must be able to work in a team atmosphere. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others. Must take and pass a pre-employment drug, background check and site security badge screening.
