Cambridge International Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Cost Controller supporting global Cambridge International Systems, Inc. reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer.
ROLE RESPONSIBILTIES
This position will have an active role in assisting operations, financial reporting and analysis of cost and profit of government projects. Provides project management/administrative support for Program Management. Oversees cost control system, budgetary controls and monitors costs against parameter guidelines. Performs analysis and prepares reports to ensure that costs are recorded within government cost control guidelines. Helps develop budgets, financial forecasts and schedules for contract work and performs and/or assists in financial analyses such as working capital analyses, sales outlook, and variance analysis. Works with the Accounting Director on the monthly closing process and various audit requests. Performs scheduled risk assessments to identify and mitigate cost risks. Instrumental in project setup and modifications in Costpoint and other information systems.
This role is pivotal to providing oversite of cost fluctuations and rate impacts. The Cost Controller is instrumental in identifying and implementing system improvements to reduce manual processing of data and improve accuracy and information.
Required Skills
+ Support user community with Deltek Costpoint support, reports and data requests
+ Analyze projects cost/results for accuracy, allocability, allowability and trends
+ Develop/support COGNOS reporting for Costpoint data output for user community
+ Perform cost controls standard procedures on multiple projects under multiple programs and customers
+ Produce, review, provide analysis of program and company financial reports
+ Support efforts Incurred Cost Submissions, Provisional Billing Rates, contract setup, close out support, etc.
+ Support monthly closing process
+ Prepare and analyze monthly/quarterly/annual financial variances to actuals, forecast, budget, and prior year
+ Review, code and make recommendations on project commitments for project coding, personnel, and purchase requisitions/purchase orders
+ Oversees the billing and collection process
+ Review and approve invoices as needed, including cash application oversight
+ Collaborate with accounts payable on project invoices to our customers
+ Support all forms of data requests from DCAA, DCMA, external auditors and regulatory agencies
+ Perform special projects as needed
Required QUALIFICATIONS
+ 8 to 15 years’ experience with at least 5 years’ experience for a US Government Contractor
+ Advanced experience with Deltek Costpoint (8+ years)
+ Experience in finance/costing for multi-entity organizations
+ Advanced Microsoft Excel experience
+ Bachelors in accounting, finance or related field (advanced degree a plus)
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
+ In rare occasions, overnight travel may be required.

Cambridge International Systems complies with Temporary Duty Station (TDY)/Outside Continental United States (OCONUS) vaccination requirements. Office setting:
+ Must be able to work in an office environment, sitting at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday.
+ Work is physically comfortable; the employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.
+ May be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site.
