The primary role of Cost Controller is to evaluate the financial requirements of a project, develop effective budgeting plans and ensure their implementation. This is a financial specialist who helps companies meet budgetary limits. The Cost Controller cooperates with project managers to implement a specific project without exceeding its budget. When changes occur, he must be able to report this to the Program Lead, Project Manager and management, and draw up a new forecast. For long-term projects, Cost Controller must be able to paint a clear financial picture in both the short and long term. The Cost Controller will be responsible for the expenditure tracking for a budget of €135 million

 

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Budget Management: Develops, maintains, and monitors the project’s financial budget, ensuring effective cost control throughout all project phases.Financial Reporting & Analysis: Provides financial insights and regularly report on the project’s financial health, including forecasting and cash flow management.Cost Monitoring: Tracks and evaluates all program-related expenditures, contracts and procurements activities to align with the approved budget and financial objectives.Compliance Oversight: Ensures financial compliance with local tax regulations, corporate governance standards, and legal requirements across all phases of the projects.Financial Forecasting: Provides detailed financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting to aid in decision-making, risk management, and long-term strategic planning.Program Financial Coordination: Liaises with project teams, external auditors, and regulatory bodies to ensure financial transparency and provide consistent financial oversight. Oversees the consolidation of financials across different projects workstreams, providing a unified financial picture of the CAPEX program.System Implementation: Implements and maintains financial systems to ensure smooth financial operations from the project phase to ongoing production.Financial Review & Closeout: After projects completion, ensures that a comprehensive financial review is conducted, calculating effective CAPEX ROI, evaluating the total cost of ownership, and identifying lessons learned for future financial forecasting.
